Having Tea Together
Sipping a cup of tea takes a minute. And ‘taking a minute’ with each other helps a mindfulness practice to unfold.
If you come to our office in Cambridge, you will be offered a literal cup of tea.
But there are metaphorical ways to have tea together these days, especially with online connections. Inviting you to “have a cup of tea” can be a way of saying that we want to have a connection, a conversation.
Question: Why did we start “having tea” events at the Mindful Boston office?
Answers:
Keeping good company is essential to a meditation journey.
Peers doing this work provide sounding-board.
The importance of fellow meditators cannot be overestimated.
