How The Mindful Beacon Studio Works

Just as there are practices for enhanced cooking skills,
there are practices for enhanced mindfulness skills.

Listen to the radio station to hear guided meditations and podcasts.
And then…

Studio MBZ1 starts by producing the guided meditations and podcasts that you hear on the radio station.

AND THEN, there’s a full suite of learning tools, coaching, and courses that deepen your experience of meditation.

But what about the studio behind the scenes?

How is the content created?

Metaphor

The practice of mindfulness nurtures your own wellness, and also gives you the stamina to nurture others. The mindfulness studio is like an “adult-ed cooking school” of contemplative arts education.

Do you seek an enhanced skill-set? Let’s see what’s possible.

Tangible products

The mindfulness itself can seem abstract. But the work we do, and the logistics of the studio have deep rooted infrastructure.

Studio Membership Packages are organized by seasonal calendar sets. The calendar is a creative workbook paired with a suite of online benefits and perks. Follow along with the calendar workbook to deepen your learning.

Our Specialty

Our specialty is nonlinear pathways of progression with contemplative practices.
Seek and see:

Get started with a free mini-course,
Keep going with a calendar bookclub,
Advance to the 201 Membership for a suite of learning tools.
— Stabilize and integrate your practice.

Tier 1
Free Biscuits!

If you subscribe to our school's "free guest pass" newsletter, it's like being a patron of your local cooking school and getting free biscuits.  You're welcomed to come by the bakery, say hello to your neighborhood chefs and get acquainted with their products.

Of course, our free products are not literal "biscuits," our products are audio recordings of guided meditations that help you stick with a meditation practice.

Simply enter your email address to be on our Free Guest Pass subscription. You will get 12 learning modules during the course of the year to do at your own pace. From an educational standpoint, it is like auditing a class.

If you are not yet getting the Sunday emails, please subscribe:

For a “workbook,” we offer a printed companion to the free Guest Pass. It includes links to the 12 monthly modules in a calendar format.

The print calendar is a handy resource that you can purchase. It is not required, everything you need for the Guest Pass is available online.

Tier 2
Lab Work - Classes For The "Home Chef"

Our Tier 2 paid membership is for folks who want to take part in "cooking up" the modules.  Any home chef loves to take a class in order to hone their skills.  Working in the bakery kitchen alongside other cooks..., experimenting…, getting your hands covered with the ingredients...

The Lab Work is where the deeper learning, and the transformation, happens.
As you bring home the techniques that you have learned in the lab, Tier 2 learning gives you the autonomy to do it for yourself (eventually) becoming the head chef of your own home practice.

For Tier 2 labs, you can sign up at any time, the tuition fee is either $125 for the year, or $12 per month. The Glossary Page lists all your benefits with membership.

Getting the right amount, at the right time

All learning subscriptions lead toward greater autonomy and skillfulness in practice, starting with where you are and what you want.

Folks who like to just “read the news” about mindfulness get an email news update each Sunday with the Guest Pass subscription. The Guest Pass is called a Tier1 subscription.

And then, the “home chefs of mindfulness” upgrade their subscription to Tier2 and participate in Lab Work. The Tier 2 Lab Work Subscription includes workshops and coaching calls during the one-year Living With The Seasons course.

For individuals and teams who need a more customized approach, there are coaching options.

…and for teachers

And then some learners are already teachers, or they want to become teachers, and add meditation to their professional offerings. Mindful Boston has advanced memberships for both aspiring teachers and accomplished teachers. Networking, continuing education, and peer support are essential in any industry.

Interested? Simply follow along with the Sunday News, and you’ll be introduced to Tier 3 and Tier 4 subscription levels as you continue your studio membership.

In Conclusion

Just as there are cooking techniques, there are also mindfulness techniques, for bringing your A-game, and avoiding pitfalls.

Please join us at the Mindful Boston studio. There are online and in-person options.

Calm in the face of frenzy. Resilience in the midst of stress. Taking a pause, even with the chaos as it is.
It might be simple to say it, but it’s not easy to do it. It does take practice. That’s why we’re here!
